I just went to see Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. What I didn't realize is it's a prequel. I caught a trailer on tv (I don't remember if I even saw the entire trailer) and thought "Osnap, Underworld 3." It's not that it was a bad movie; it's just that the backstory that they covered was entirely explained in the first Underworld movie, and they didn't really add much of anything to it. Knowing how it was going to end pretty much killed any tension they were building, which is a shame because I'm pretty sure if I hadn't known, it would have actually been pretty fun. As a result, I was bored silly during the first movie I've gone to see in months. I wish I had gone to see Taken or the International instead. >:/ |

Well, I survived getting in the complete draft of my senior sem paper, so I got a bit of a break this weekend. Which is good, because between that and two other essays I had due, I've written about 21 pages in the last two weeks, not to mention a presentation. I think the very worst of it may be over, but I still have at least two other major papers that I need to write soon, so it's not totally over. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right? |

God I am such a slacker. But I'm enjoying slacking off right now while I can, before I have to write another paper. Which reminds me, I need to pick a topic. So, life's kinda boring right now. More stress soon. Yayz -_- But tomorrow's Halloween! I'm excited. I got a spiffy costume. I'm going as an enchantress, with a butterfly mask and a black dress with golden stars and moons on the front. The dress looks really nice on me. I also grabbed a long green wig from Walmart, but I threw it out because it was a piece of crap. More of a piece of crap than I was expecting for even Walmart. So, tomorrow night I'm going out to dinner and karayoke with some friends. We're all going in costume, so it should be fun. |

I suppose I should update this thing. I'm seriously lazy about journal-type things. But haven't updated since before AWA, so here goes. AWA was a blast and it was totally awesome meeting everyone. It was just way too short. When I got back I was busy as hell catching up for school. There are still some things that I need to turn in that were due the week I got back @_@. Oh well. I'll either get them done eventually or not. I just don't really care anymore. I love learning things at school, but I'm also at a place where I would actually like to spend more time on my own life, so I've been feeling kind of disconnected from school since it started.
In other news, the airline still hasn't found my bag. I sent in the paperwork, but I think I need to call them and hound them again. Somehow I doubt I'll ever see it again though. Which pisses me off, because I'm now short a lot of clothes I can't afford to replace. Not to mention several favorite items of clothing that are now lost. They had better compensate me with money.
One good thing that came out of this though was the whole retainer thing. I thought I would have to get it replaced, but since I'm 21 and have had my wisdom teeth removed, the orthodontist consented to let me try going without it. He wouldn't take my bottom wire out yet though, the bastard.
Matty was here for about a week, and that was awesome too. I kinda feel bad about having to leave him on his own so much while I was at school and doing homework, but it couldn't be helped. I had a paper due and a midterm that week, which kinda sucked, but I had fun anyway. Nya nya school. Take that.
Other than that, not a whole lot up with me. This week was more relaxing thankfully. And now it's almost weekend, and I can start editing again now that I'm not being raped by schoolwork. Yay! Well, not quite as raped. |

Well, I'm heading off on a trip tomorrow, so I thought I'd update before I go. I'm going to be visiting the family in Nebraska and going to a family reunion. This should be...interesting. It should be good to see that side of the family again anyhow. And maybe I'll get the chance to kick my aunt's abusive husband in the nuts, hehehe.
I imagine I shall be giggling all through the drive in Nebraska, because every time I see a cornfield I can't help but think "BEHOLD! MORE CORN!"
